Our Vision: Act for Responsible Tourism

Managing a family campsite like La Grée Penvins is an adventure. If the campsite does not belong to us, that is not an excuse not to act, far from it. We do everything to pamper this magical place by the sea. Because if we want to continue to experience unforgettable sunsets and hear the birdsong, we have to act.

Our commitments to nature that breathes fully

In partnership with Sarzeau town hall and the Gulf of Morbihan Regional Natural Park, we are committed to limiting impacts on the dune, an essential natural barrier. Raising awareness among vacationers: Signs and facilities to remind people that the dune is not a playground. Physical protection: Installation of marked trails to reduce trampling. Planting of local and essential species.

Promoting biodiversity (and everyone’s sleep)

When night falls, the stars should be the only ones to shine. Extinguishing exterior lights at night to avoid light pollution and respect nocturnal wildlife. Planting local species to welcome pollinators (and avoid English gardens which require too much water).

Green energy for our light bulbs (and your morning coffee)

We have signed a contract with EDF to use only renewable energy. The current that powers the campsite therefore comes from wind, sun or water, but never from coal.

What the future could still inspire us…

Because there is always a way to do better, here are some ideas to continue this momentum: Collect rainwater to water the plantations (if we have a good Breton season, we won't even have to store it for long...). Set up a collective composting system. Offer nature workshops to vacationers (such as discovery walks or permaculture courses). Reduce plastic packaging in partnership with local producers.

With these small gestures, we hope to leave a beautiful imprint, but not in the fragile sand of our beautiful dune.
